12. Schools and Educational Institutions

12.1

Where schools, colleges or educational institutions work directly with a tutor through any one of our platforms, it is their sole responsibility to ensure that the tutor meets the requirements of their establishment. This includes but is not limited to safeguarding and professional checks.

12.2

We do not undertake any prohibited from teaching checks as this is the responsibility of each individual institution, which in certain circumstances it is mandatory. We do not provide guidance as to when a prohibited from teaching check has to be undertaken.

12.3

Where schools or institutions choose to work with our service we will endeavour to secure the lowest fee for the service provided. We aim to make sure that the tutors we supply are experienced and have a DBS check. Although we make every effort to ensure that all paperwork we are supplied with is authentic, it is up to each individual establishment to ensure that their records for each tutor or teacher are up to date and meet the safeguarding criteria set by that school.

12.4

Where we facilitate payment between schools, educational institutions and private tutors, it is to be noted that this facility does not impact upon the employment status of the private tutor. All private tutors working through MME do so on a self-employed basis.

12.5

We are not responsible or liable for the well-being or academic performance of students being taught by a tutor we supply. Institutions must have their own internal procedures to safeguard children and to monitor their academic progression.

13. Examinations

13.1

MME offers formal examinations for Ofqual regulated functional skills exams. When you sign up to these services, you do so in accordance with the following terms. You also must have read and agree with the following privacy notices as set out by UK government website. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/lrs-privacy-notices/lrs-privacy-notice

13.3

We provide learner instructions which are guidelines for each examination to help learners set up correctly in advance of exam day. It is the learner’s responsibility to ensure they have read these instructions prior to the exam day.

13.4

Those individuals who fail to comply with examination protocols may be disqualified from an examination based upon the evidence provided by the invigilator.

13.5

Examinations are marked by qualified examiners. Results are provided within set timescales and certificates awarded when candidates meet the required standard. In the rare event results are late, we accept no liability relating to any losses incurred by exam entrants as a result of this. We will always endeavour to provide results within good time, but occasionally this is out of our control and therefore we can not guarantee the timescales stated on our website or those given by administration staff.

13.6

We are not responsible for the outcome of any examinations, and can not be held accountable for candidates that receive a mark or grade they are not happy with.

13.7

Where a date is selected for your speaking, listening and communicating (SLC) exam, you can not rearrange this exam as other learners are dependent on your participation for the exam to go ahead. Therefore the standard cancellation fee of £99 will apply in these circumstances.

13.15

Where exams are rearranged due to a learner not meeting the exam requirements, a fee starting from £20 will apply. This fee can vary depending on availability. (This does not apply to SLC exams, see below). We advise all learners to read these instructions carefully. (https://mmerevise.co.uk/exam-instructions-and-requirements/).

We advise all learners to read these instructions carefully (https://mmerevise.co.uk/exam-instructions-and-requirements/).
